I'm surprised, the graphics look very intense. I'd be worried for lagging issues with the iPhone.

Honestly, I've been scouring the AppStore for a space RTS and couldn't find one that looked wholy appealing. Then I remembered getting this when it was free awhile ago so I reinstalled it and its great! The dev is developing a sequel and additional content as I'm typing this.
It's a deep, complex (but not overtly) game that I think is definitely worth the price, and it should scratch that 'epic space battle' itch. Capital ships are big and slow, giving them a real weighty feel... Though they're in space, if that makes any sense. Also, I like that you can assign wingmen, i.e., having smaller, faster ships locked into a covering position around capital ships, so they follow as the larger one moves. I think each ship has eight or so positions around it on which wingmen can be attached. Great game. Can't wait for more. |
