This looks interesting. Seeing the party based gameplay with the characters in the top right makes me think of how we haven't really seen much for party based games with pause-able combat, a la Dragon Age or any of the earlier Bioware games. With the joystick and buttons on screen, it doesn't look like there's a pause button. Maybe at least you can change to a different character on the fly by touching the portrait.
