I posted awhile ago about my game, Hook Champ. Well, now we're looking for more people to help with final beta testing. Go here for more information for beta: http://www.rocketcat-games.com/blog/ We recently did a lot of difficulty rebalancing. Before, the game was the God Hand of grappling hook games. We thought this might be a bad idea. Now, we really want fresh people to test out the difficulty of the game, so we can get it just right: Challenging as time goes on, but accessible to new people. Youtube trailer for those who missed it: Controls have been retooled to be HOLD to hook onto things, RELEASE to let go. You can do different things with this, such as latching onto ceilings at an angle to swing, then releasing to do a big swing-jump. This is easy to pick up on, even if new to the game and drunk. This has been tested. The old controls are now an option in settings. Besides beta, I'm also working on the levels for the first content patch. New art and AI critters. I'm going for an abandoned, filthy cliff-dweller's city kind of theme. See you in beta!
First batch of beta invites sent, more are still available. I want lots of new people. The big focus is making sure the difficulty curve is challenging, but not overwhelming before release. Next post, I'll have a bunch of new screenshots from the more recent version.
