Checked now and looks like it's been pulled. I'd say that points to a "Free" release. dalbertson Well-Known Member Jan 25, 2011 485 2 18 #5 dalbertson, Feb 10, 2011 Looks awesome! Doesn't seem to be much excitement around this. WunDaii Well-Known Member Apr 13, 2009 2,674 10 36 http://touchaholics.com/ #6 WunDaii, Feb 10, 2011 This is confusing. So is it cross-platform, like iPhone players can play with iPad users AND PC/Mac users? It says you can play this in your internet browser. Also, is the iPad version out? It says it's coming soon, but the trailer suggests otherwise. AND, is this an MMO? Is it online, so you can play with multiple friends? It says they're computer-controlled. New England Gamer Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 30, 2009 6,143 1 0 #8 New England Gamer, Feb 10, 2011 It seems they have to be playing the Facebook version - but how you interact is puzzling. There are several contradictory statements. It also says it is free for FreeAppADay but then in the description it goes on to say the full FREE version yada yada yada. I am joining you all in the befuddled category. The thing that is worrisome to me are the controls - if you watch the video it seems like it is all touch to move with commands at the bottom of the screen so you are constantly moving all over to control your character. And if that is a seasoned player - as in someone who has experience with the controls - what will that say for a learning curve for new players? I guess bottom line I can try anything for free if it releases as such, to experiment around; but with uncertainties, if it has a price then I will wait for much more in depth impressions. Becasue it is still a large number, and setting a requirement to an alternative source for a game limits the amount of people that can have access to it. I am totally cool with it having fb implementations and even a bonus if you do use it. But not being able to access it because you do not use fb is a huge problem. New England Gamer Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 30, 2009 6,143 1 0 #16 New England Gamer, Feb 11, 2011 Found this article that explains the game a little more. The thing that jumped out at me from it was that online play is not synchronous. So not sure how that can be cooperative - you "borrow" friend's avatars? Little confused by that. And the big one - missions use up stamina that only slowly replenishes over time. Sounds like that is where the IAP comes in to play since you can purchase vials or potions or something like that to replenish that. The article describes it in Facebook terms of using Facebook credits to get the potions. But can't find any indication why this was not released or what the deal is. strivemind Well-Known Member Aug 11, 2010 2,784 2 38 Designer Ottawa, Canada http://www.strivemind.com/ #17 strivemind, Feb 11, 2011 Probably like Gun Bros. you draft a friends character to be played by the AI. The added party member helps you tackle bigger challenges, and your friend gets a % of the experience/loot.
