Have never heard of this, but I found out the first episode is free! Had a quick look and it looks good, so I'll delve into it later to see if it's worth getting this. It looks like it's going to be a long time between episodes. It's also looks like one of the new breed of iOS puzzle games that I've been enjoying recently.

How much time until Chapter Three is released will depend on how much Chapter One and Two will sell. I'm sure the developers would love to work on it and release as soon as possible, but they probably have to work on something else in order to make a living. The best (and probably only) way to get part 3 sooner is supporting them by buying, recommending it to friends, sharing on social networks and so on

I was just going on what someone else said. But your probably right. If I like a game I do all those things you mentioned, because a good game deserves all the publicity it gets. Things are looking good so far in the first chapter so there will be a good chance I get this. Unfortunately, people are more interested in that stupid copters game instead of buying good stuff like this!
Come on guys! At least try the first episode, it's free! You never know you may enjoy it then want this too. It's a fun 3D puzzler with great art and characterisation.

I really liked episode 1 but length was really short and now i cannot even remember the story :-/
Afaik Chapter 3 would be the final chapter, so no chapter 4. Also, if you don't want to play Chapter 1 again you get a summary of it in a pretty funny way (with a little joke regarding the long waiting time for Chapter 2) if you talk to your buddy Kito right at the beginning of the game. I'd probably just play Chapter 1 again if I couldn't remember the story anymore though - Enjoying the story for a second time and continue right with part 2

I know the waiting time sucks but one can't really hold that against the creators. These guys worked as fast as they could to create a high quality 2nd instalment - I think they already needed around a year to even secure the funding for the second episode. So they couldn't start with creating chapter 2 right after they released the first part like big, richer companies do (Tell Tale ...)

As another example take The Silent Age. Another pretty cool adventure game from a small company which was divided into 5 episodes. The first part was released in the beginning of 2013 (even got mentioned as a game cartridge in Republique, if you know the game) and according to their website they just now are close to finishing the second chapter. If they continue with that speed, we'll be in the 2020s when they finally release Ep5 Compared to that - as there's only one final chapter left now - Sky Goblin (The Journey Down creators) are working in Turbo Speed Mode

I'm sure they like the long in between waiting times as little as the players but as somebody above me said, it's all about the money. Making games gets more and more expensive these days (licenses, sound, synchronisation, etc) - The financial risk is a little minimized by making an episodic game but when a first episode doesn't reach its projected sales figures/revenues they got to look for enough funding elsewhere if they want to finish their game.

Unfortunately, like the little populated thread here (or the fact that TA hasn't even reviewed Chapter 2 yet) shows, it's not that easy to get attention in the App Store - Even more so as a Premium Game, even if it's as awesome as this one. And if they already needed that long to secure funding for the creation of Chapter 2 I guess their marketing budget is negligible.

On a sidenote: Finished Chapter 2 yesterday, really liked it. It's longer than the first one (Game Size is more than twice as big), loved the humor and witty characters, graphics are even neater than in part 1 and the puzzles are neither too hard nor too easy. Exactly the right balance imho. I played the iOS Version - Perfect Controls/Game Mechanics (especially like that you can shortcut the walking time between settings by double tapping the arrows).

Hope the game gets a little more media attention through word of mouth - Suppose that's the best chance waiting time for the final third chapter could be reduced. (And Part 1's only free this week - If you don't know the game, now's the best time to check it out)

I'd never heard of this til I saw ep2 and found ep1 was free, so gave it a go, loved it and then on the strength of that and the vid for ep2 downloaded it immediately. Well worth the money. Judging by the amount of comments the fact that it's not free and not full of timers and iaps, nobody wants it despite many complaints otherwise! Buy it now or stop complaining when you get inundated with freemium crap!

Chapter 2's release reminded me I actually already had the first one sitting on the iPad, unplayed - a sheer delight! So much to love about the series: novel character designs, superb voice acting (I must capture Bwana's line when he places a mudyuggler in his pockets), good writing, and that excellent music all combine to lend such a sense of atmosphere, especially in Port Artue.

Needless to say, I picked up this second installment the moment I finished the first. ^_^

If I had to pick nits, I'd be inclined to offer a volume control for the music - there were a few spots in the second chapter where I felt the speech was competing with the music. And, a couple minor spelling mistakes, such as in the "Lost?" manual. And we need more Kito! =
