ummmm you cannot reuse copywritten material, such as using sprites from the official pokemon games. I hope you understand that. Other than that. Yes! I'm sure everyone would want a pokemon game.
I am interested and alot of others will be too, but if you dont have pokemon, what will you have for the battles?
I am just using the sprites for testing. Sorry for the misunderstanding but I just google pics/sprites for testing material. When I get serious about graphics, that is when I will start producing my own material. Some more info: there will be "pokemon" creatures that I made up but I have no name for them as of yet. Any ideas for a name for them all?

I play Pokemon blue/red once a year and its the best and truly are classics, even though I'd never played the others. No clue about the naming but I'm pretty sure a lot of people will help you out. Hmm...

That feels very reassuring I did think of Soul/Spirit Monsters once before but scrapped the idea. I will start to update you all on my progress from time to time. I have to overcome a few problems with my game though. I had to drop the framerate from 60 to 30 and maybe even down to 20. As long as everything is smooth sicne this game isnt really FPS demanding.

i dont get how your gonna do this unless your gonna only have like 3 pokemon type monsters. if you continue this i think your gonna need a lot of people to help you out honestly. Is this a self project? or do you have other people helping you?
I have heard that the 3GS is a major boost in performance but I don't have one so that's not possible. And I would like to target those without and without 3GS. And honestly, I don't see why this game should run over 30 FPS. The battle scenes will definitely be 60FPS since it will be rendered in 2D. This is a self project, but has been planned for a few months now with many ideas already becoming a reality. All I need now are: graphics, storyline, and a lot of testing.
