Which I don't mind as much as freemium but still sucks for anyone that ever supported this company with a purchase to suddenly have banner ads always show when you play. :| Still, the game pretty good so far. zdn1042 Well-Known Member May 10, 2013 642 0 0 #7 zdn1042, Mar 10, 2014 Sad to see a lot of game going this route. Though, I'd be more than a little furious to have purchased a game and see it go freemium afterwards; I believe a refund is justly deserved in those cases. Anyway, how is this actually? With the dearth of rogue-like's on iOS, most being awful clones and n'th repeated dungeon dives, does this stand much comparison? I'm really looking for this scene to pick-up into something more than shamshod game development. Incursion, DoomRL, Dwarf Fortress, Liberal Crime Squad... for a genre so accomdating to new ideas and settings due to such easy implementation, it's awfully stagnant on iOS. Jorlen Well-Known Member Jan 7, 2009 1,094 2 38 IT Canada #9 Jorlen, Mar 10, 2014 I shouldn't have removed my non-HD version of the game, now I guess I'm stuck with ads in my paid copy. I wonder if/when apple will ever be able to prevent this from happening. They should offer a function, built-in Itunes, to revert to a previous version of an app. Otherwise, developers will keep doing it if they can get away with it. They should always provide a way for those who previously paid to retain the correct version of their app, but most don't care; it's like a last-ditch effort to cash in on their previous work. One of mobile gaming's most infuriating trends, IMO. Sort of the poor mans SoF which is fine by me. Morgan01 Well-Known Member Apr 11, 2013 243 0 0 USA #12 Morgan01, Mar 11, 2014 A big, white advertising banner at the top is pretty distracting. Jorlen Well-Known Member Jan 7, 2009 1,094 2 38 IT Canada #13 Jorlen, Mar 11, 2014 Yep. Just turn on airplane mode, no ads. Suck it, eggcode. Topherunhinged Well-Known Member Feb 7, 2014 422 0 0 #14 Topherunhinged, Mar 11, 2014 I need to play SoF and the airplane mode trick is nice but still a frustrating option for banner ad removal.
