We’ve listened to the fans and been hard at work making sure we recapture that same spirit of fun in Episode II. We hope the fans will enjoy it.” Screenshots:

TouchGen saying on Twitter that it'll be $6.99? Was the last one that much and dropped in price? I thought it was more like $4.99-$5.99. I guess I could look in the Toucharcade App/Appshopper. lol Edit: Wow, it was $9.99 when it came out. Then dropped down to $6.99, and now is around $3.99 regularly. And drops down to $1.99 for sales.
I think Sega found out really quickly that $10 won't fly for the vast majority of iOS games. If $7 is too much, people do have the option to wait for the inevitable sale. If today wasn't the D3 release day, I'd snap buy it, but now I'm not sure I want to buy just to have it sit in my backlog until the price drops. I might still buy it just to support Sega, though.
Does anyone knows if the 3D landscapes and the moving backgrounds will come to iOS versions or it will be like Prince of Persia that had 2D static backgrounds? (The consoles versions of POP has 3D landscapes).
it's coming may 17th to iOS and will be universal for 6.99$ http://blogs.sega.com/2012/05/15/sonic-the-hedgehog-4-episode-ii-launches-true-blue-initiative-returns/
Owners who buy thin and have episode I will get an extra level with Metal Sonic. It's all part of the: True Blue initiative.
