Hi everyone, I'd like to introduce Extreme Road Trip, an upcoming game for iOS. I left my job to start doing games on my own, and this is my first game as an independent dev. The goal is to get as far as possible without crashing. Controls are simple: touch the left and right part of the screen to tilt your car. Doing stunts will refill your boost meter allowing you to go farther than your initial gaz reserve would let you. I'm looking for beta testers to try out the game on iOS devices. Please follow this link to apply as a tester. You can also try out a (somewhat outdated right now) browser version of the game here: http://roofdog.ca/road-trip Gameplay video: Screenshots:
Thanks! I aimed to make the game simple and addictive. So far feedback is very good but it's mostly from friends so maybe they're just being polite I hope to get a bunch of beta testers so they can let me know how it works for them. Cheers!
Hi all, so far, five people have registered for the Beta test. I have space for more, so please don't hesitate. Once again, here's the link: http://bit.ly/jDYsBK I use TestFlightApp.com, so you can download the game (even if it's not released yet!) by WiFi, no need to connect to iTunes. Cheers!
Cool! Glad you like it. I still have to add Game Center integration and a tutorial, then it should be pretty much ready to go. I still don't know whether I'll make it free but limited (maybe just one car) + unlock with IAP or just a 1$ game. Any opinions on that? Cheers!
Many people dont like in-game, and some have the option blocked with the new iOS option being there. I think you'd be better off having a set price. I've sent the beta request though it may be to late.
Sure! If you've entered your info in TestFlightApp and registered your device you'll get notified as soon as the next build is ready.
OK, thanks for the feedback. Not too late for the beta request! I've added you. You'll get notified as soon as the next build is made.
i think the best way for people to try it would be to have a lite version with one car and a paid version with all the cars?
Yes, I think that's what I'm most used to... But I was wondering whether it would be better if you could upgrade right away in the app (ie you pay inside the app and you're good to go right away). I also wouldn't have to maintain two separate game version.
Submitted to the App Store! Extreme Road Trip has been submitted to the App Store! Here are the screenshots I've submitted for the game profile in iTunes: Cheers!
