Not really a big plot hole, seeing as he actually wants to "Go home", not just see his kids. but still kinda lulzy
Seriously guys? Are you that desperate to poke holes you blindly accept a silly preposition from an internet caption? 1) First of all, the gov't authorities wouldn't allow Cobb's children to be flown out to meet him without obstruction or monitoring. Even if they did, Cobb would be caught pretty quickly, wouldn't he? 2) The grandmother over the phone call he had doesn't sound like someone who would let her children in her charge go off galavanting with a man on the run from the law. 2) Most importantly, Cobb wouldn't let his children come with him as long as he is constantly running from the U.S. authorities and international cooperate goons. It doesn't match his character from a emotional or logical standpoint. He's already established as a father who cares deeply about his kids and wouldn't put them through that, and he's established as a smart man who wouldn't do anything that outrageously stupid. A more thoughtful example of a plot hole is Fischer not recognizing Saito as cooperate rivals. And (contrary to internet alarmists), most plot holes don't actually derail a movie, and neither does this.
I've seen mixed responses to the movie. Personally, nothing is going to stop me from seeing it for myself.
Yeah I'm probably going to see it. Like I said before, I don't expect a great movie, just a good adventure with lots of explosions and bullets and cursing. Too bad movie theaters don't sell beer, because it sounds like this movie would be perfect with some beer and nachos.
Sadly I won't be seeing it until after you (probably). I'm going to new York Tomorrow and I'd much rather see it with my friends when I get back than with my cousins.
Saw Avatar yesterday for the 1st time. Surprisingly, I thought it was pretty damn good. The story is alright, the message is pretty powerful, but what takes the cake, easily, are the effects. Best CG in the story of movies.
It's an amazing scifi film. Up there with District 9 as one of the most astonishing independent films of 2009.
Oh I had no idea it was an independent film. That explains why the special effects were models instead of CGI.
