    Hi :)
Recently, somebody has tried gifting me a game. They have been charged for it, but I don't have it. Here are my questions:
    How would I recieve it?
How long does it take roughly?

FYI: The game is available in both countries. We're from the same country.

If you have any questions i'll answer them.

    Thanks in advance
    Elliot

Are you sure he sent it to the correct email? Double check with them.

We did. There were no mistakes :( Do you know how long it takes to go through, or how I would find out if I had it?

Well, I don't really know then. Tell your friend to double check his purchase history to check if he really did purchase the app for you. (*gasp* he may be lying!! roflol) Through my experience the email should be sent to you at a maxiumum of a couple of minutes.

If nothing else works, try contacting Apple about it.

    Hope this helps!

Did you get a code that you had to redeem, or was it on your iTunes or what?

You get an email that gives you a link through which you can redeem your code.

Does a capital letter change an email address? My iPhone put a capiltal 'A' on the email address by default, when my inbox uses a lower case 'a'. That wouldn't change the email address would it? :/

If the mail was lost - the purchaser can go to that item in iTunes, and resend the gift (even to a different email address)

I've done this before and it works.

If you two are using different Appstore countries (Like a canadian account gifting to a US account) you won't be able to redeem the code anyways. Codes can only be redeemed in the same country they were purchased in.

Also be sure to check your spam folder because it's an automated message and might be filtered out of your normal inbox

This is one of the reasons why buying a physical copy game is better. You buy the game and give to a friend and things like this won't happen.

Yes, and how would you gift someone a game who lives 500Km away from you?

You have to make an account in their country and gift it.

The issue is in the currency exchange. If anyone could gift to anyone then it leaves a big loop hole to cheat Apple out of money. It's also possible that it could have something to do with laws on digital sales, etc. but i don't know about things like that.
