The hard question is: If you hypothetically could keep only ONE iOS game on your device(s) for the next months and years, which one would that be? Below there is a list with all nominations by tA members up to posting #139; there are AppShopper links. Awesome supercars, pretty and very interesting tracks in all parts of the world, perfect controls, excellent speed feeling, best value ($.99 only).
The problem with this question is that it favours games with the highest replay value. Almost any game would get boring after a year. Factoring in my addiction to chess I would have to go with iChess Pack and a fast internet connection.
The OP reads like an advertisement. But I'll join in anyway and say that for me it would have to be Disc Drivin'. I mean we are talking about a game that has to have endless replay value, and I have played and continue to play DD a ton. Great game.
I wouldn't call it a problem but a feature and a chance to nominate the "best iOS game of all times" by tA user's voting. Each member has one vote for one game. Period. Maybe I'll add an option that you can change your opinion later (when you learn another, better game). That's pretty theoretic I know—but how would a better question sound? And replay value is one of the most valid factors in rating a video game. Especially here with iOS what has a bit the reputation of offering only casual games. That's true but again: I cant find a better formula to find nothing less than the best iOS game of all time. Thanks for your vote. Counted in OP. I know and I will shorten that later. Sorry. It should be just an example on how one could vote (besides of clicking a forum's software vote item). Will add such a tA voting later with links to threads, videos and AppShopper (similar to the tA game of the week threads). Please be assured that I am not affiliated with the racer's dev in any relationship. It's pure fanboyism. The game is one of the reasons why I am very interested in iOS games altogether. And why I always need the newest iOS device. It's completely okay if you justify your voting with one or two sentences like you did (that will keep the thread interesting, hopefully): Thanks. Vote counted in OP. I have Disc Drivin'. It's not a bad game but… well, turn-based. I am an action freak and can't wait.
Hero Academy, just because the league is awesome and makes for great replay-ability. Definitely not my favorite game ever for the device though, but the other ones don't give me enough reason to keep coming back after I beat them, i.e. Superbrothers, Swordigo, Dead Space.
Modern Combat 2 And yes I do mean MC2, not MC3. Even though the graphics aren't as nice, the gameplay feels better to me and playing it for the first time was a very memorable experience.
Mission Europa for me. Many hated the game but I got 60+ hours out of the thing and have yet to find a game that scratches that FPS loot based itch.
As hard of a choice it is to just choose one, and as many iOS titles I have that I'd consider 'un-delete-able'. The game that I have had the absolute best overall experience with is Bug Heroes. Endless fun, endless strategy, endless replayability, diversity, uniqueness, and not to mention a team of very dedicated Devs. It's one game I just keep coming back to that never gets old.
