A little annoyed. Bought Battle Dungeons Risen when it came out due to the dev stating $1.99 was the intro sale price. Goes up to $2.99 for one day then they drop it to $.99? Nice.
Battle Dungeon is awesome, got it when it was $1.99 and was worth it. Only wish it can be viewed in landscape mode though, better for playing with an iPad.
It's not right that these games are $0.99; they are well worth more. Although many have IAP expansion content (fair one time unlock prices).
universal good sale to get more reviews and then they can bump prices up and or add things users request. try the lite versions too to see if you like them! Obviously it isn't about the money. It is a dollar. I feel it is the principle of it. Also, there is a thread over in general discussion about freemium games, and a dev put the blame on consumers for always asking for $.99 sales. This price drop made me think about that. Who got the costumer base conditioned to expect $.99 sales? I just (just as in 5 minutes ago) purchased an app for 15 dollars that was available at launch for .99 cents. I don't mind paying more, then seeing a sale, AS LONG AS THE SALE isn't paired with an update that nerfs the game, changes the monetization model, etc. Unfortunately, that happens all too often. Each level is a srand alone scenario, so no continuous plot. You are scored on each level based, in part on team composition (using fewer units is more challenging but rewards a higher score). Each level's performance is rated on the standard 3 star system encouraging players to replay with different tactics to improve. Worse case, it's well worth $0.99 even with just the core scenarios played once. Trevor Well-Known Member Feb 5, 2009 371 0 16 #17 Trevor, Apr 14, 2013 I have a problem. My backlog is at least 40 unplayed games, and that's paid for games, unplayed freebies that I actually want to play number into the hundreds. But I want to support TBS developers and will likely buy all of these, and never play them. My backlog runs into the thousands. EDIT: about replayability...I mean, is there any reason to go back and play AFTER you run through the campaign once? Do you keep equipment. Etc? Trevor Well-Known Member Feb 5, 2009 371 0 16 #19 Trevor, Apr 14, 2013 Thousands of purchased apps? Wow. I'm not counting my thousands and thousands of freebies. And promocodes. And whatnot. I do spend recklessly, though. I've got less than 9 bucks in my account now...just bought a 10 buck app (it was on sale...had to get the price lock) EDIT: do you count games which you purchased but went free for a day or 2 before you began playing? I have a lot of those. Besides, I got some of my favorite (paid) games for free. OLO game, Lostwinds 2, etc. is NOVA 3 not on my backlist because I got it for free?
