Hi all, I'm looking for some game recommendations that will keep me occupied for a really long time. I have an epic flight coming up which is 24 hours long and then obviously the same flight again 3 weeks later. I'm not a massive gamer but stuff I have liked previously would be: Sam and max Super stickman golf (I have all of them) True skate Retro games On consoles mario and zelda What I don't want: Rpg's where you need to build up exp, sorry just find them annoying. Games where the controls are frustrating (super crate box I'm looking at you) Stuff that uses wifi (I'll be on a plane) I already have a couple of gta's which I haven't played yet and I think I'm going to buy 'beneath a steel sky' (I really like that kind of humour) Any ideas?
The Walking Dead and all the episodes. The controls work better on a touch screen than a controller/mouse, and it's a good 10-12 hours long. You will not be bored; this is one of the best games of 2012 on any platform.
Ah thanks jbruu, I actually have the first part on my phone already. I'll have a play on it over the weekend and if I can get into it I'll get the others.
Since you like retro point-and-click games, try also Gemini Rue, it's amazing. There's also the classics The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, if you haven't played them yet.
I agree that The Walking Dead is a great option. A long flight is the perfect scene to experience it. Gemini Rue would be another awesome story. Its incredible. Additionally Badland for some dreamlike arcade action. King of Dragon Pass is massive but might not be your cup of tea. Probably cool to have Flight Control on there as well to freak people out when you're about to land.
Kingturn is a SRPG with detailed character customization and easily ober 25+ hours of gameplay (free to download, one time IAP $4.99 to unlock). Fall of Angels is a JRPG with compelling narrative that is often overlooked. Those will carry you through your flight several times over.
Sorry, just not into these undeadcow. Never really managed to get into these rpg's with the turn-based fighting. I couldn't even get into the final fantasy games when I was younger.
I have flight control and also the harbour one, cool games. Gemini rue really does look cool. Similar style to 'beneath a steel sky'
I'd say get cut the rope(any version is fine). Where's my water works brilliantly too. As someone said, NY zombies will be more than enough to last the flight
