Alrighty...
I've completed the first group of six levels. First off, for those that are wondering, no IAP in sight except for a level pack for .99 There are some tweet what you just did pop-ups at the end of each level, and they did promote the MMO once at the end of the first level group. This game is really pretty to look at (ipad2). I can't wait to see it on a new iPad. There have been some stunning puzzle games this year (Blast-a-way and The a room come immediately to mind) and this belongs in their company. This is a puzzler as stated. At the start of a level, you are given a selection of creatures that each has a special ability and a limited number of uses of that ability. Using those, you must defeat the creatures and collect the stars on each grid by "attacking" them. You will start with a werebear that can attack in a line of three squares in a row, but enemies aren't always positioned in tidy rows. This is where the squirrel, which lets you swap positions with a creature or star, comes in. You move about the grid, but cannot pass through obstacles, enemies, or stars. Your position is retained when you switch creatures, which you can do at any time. Sometimes, you will need to use the squirrel to access an area you can't reach (because enemies are blocking it in), all the while setting up your bear's (or a bit later your troll's) attacks. I like the design of this quite a bit, but I do have some concerns. There do not appear to be many levels. It looks like there are 24 total islands divided into 5 archipelagos (plus a sixth available as IAP). The first six are brief, but this is basically the tutorial. It is possible they get more involved, but I haven't had the chance to play further. I also found it strange that one of the creature abilities to freeze and unfreeze enemies added no interest or strategy to the first six levels, so I'm not sure why they even introduced the concept so early. I'm guessing there will be a need to freeze enemies later, maybe to keep them from moving, but the freezing could have been saved until then. The heart of the game appears to be using the squirrel to maneuver about the grid and position enemies where you need them to use other abilities, which is enjoyable. One nice thing in a logic puzzler like this is that you can undo moves at any time. I like what I've seen so far and looking forward to more. |

It's a riff on sequencing operations in the proper order to arrange targets for optimal efficiency. Unfreezing seems like a pointless formality, but it does serve to complicate the sequencing. Ie make sure to do the unfreeze before you cut yourself off with a squirrel-swap... So far, it's a pleasant little game.

I took a chance on this and have also only played the first island. I'm enjoying the game and as there's a long description above I won't go into that.
My only worry is how long the levels will last and also when you unlock creatures and they go into your collection, I'd like to see their abilities added into the info there. |

Thank you for posting the review. It was very helpful.
![]() Your English is quite good. At a minimum, it was good enough that I can make sense of your impression of the game. Arguably, your English is probably better than many of the posters here. ![]() I found this game by accident and found the description of the game intriguing. Will give this a try. Looks like high production value too. Quote:

Much better than that crappy Final Fantasy Airship game. This is gorgeous and plays well.

Yeah. I like this one too, but i dont really play "figure-it-out" type of puzzlers a lot.
