No, it's not officially abandoned. The servers usually have very few people, IMO, this game isn't as popular as paradox hoped. If no one is playing the game why support it? Again I love the game so I really hope I'm wrong about this. I just don't see any incentive to spend time and money supporting a game that isn't selling well.

The multiplayers aspect of this, while good to play is serverly hampered by stats and friends being locked to a particular server and the lack of notification of multiplayer turns. If it have been designed a bit better in that respect it probably would have done a lot better. It is a good game, just treated a bit roughly by its developer and/or publisher.

Saw there's an update out, finally. Unfortunately, if looks like it contains some IAP to buy more ships and 4 new (free) multiplayer maps.

I was hoping that Paradox would squash some bugs in their next update. I'll keep this on my device for a while longer and hope for another update that does so.

If it's not been updated since the new devices came out it may not be recognising it as a retina device (or even an iPad) and dropping back to its base graphics settings, so everything will be scaling up on the screen.
