Doom blade

The doom blade does not seems to be useful. Was expecting there are some powerful upgrades.

I'm enjoying this a bit (got it for free a while ago, just started playing) but it definitely feels just like raw chance with no strategy, versus something like Out There.

Really trying to get into this game. Trying to work my way through the 2nd floor. Grinded my way to over 100 hp and promptly lost to a mini boss. Over an hour to get to the 100+ hp. Of course I had to start over with the 35 hp. Kind of a drag.

Couple of questions. Is there another way to restore hp other than drinking at the bar? And is there a way to see what damage range an enemy can hit you with? I wouldn't think that with over 100 hp I would lose to a mini boss from two attacks. One run, trying to build hp, ran into a random encounter that hit me at 53 on first try. Kinda bs.

Any other pointers would help. Investing over an hour into a game and completely redoing it kinda sucks. May bail on this one.
