I'm looking for a game to blog about?
Not a review but a game that made you think "how did that work?" A game mechanic or game design. Like a reverse engineering of how the game worked. Any suggestions? Indie games welcome :)

I'd reccomend taking a look at how Kinetic Damage handles Fighting Game AI.

We released a simple but cool and addictive game recently called Jungle Climber. A lot of work went in to use of parallax, character movement, use of background elements. Surprising how much is behind the scenes of a simple game.

You can play it here: http://bit.ly/jungleclimber

A ton of work went into to the dynamics of the rope in this game, it was a difficult problem to solve and took weeks of iteration to get it right. The rope/net is a the main gameplay element that the player has control of it has to extend, reel up smoothly and look behave realistically.

Another interesting feature in the game is the Time of Day in the 3D Aquarium. Players collect 3D critters, if they visit the aquarium at night it will be night, visit it at dawn, sunset or midday and it will look quite different.

If you look for a game that makes you think "what's this?", try Brightridge:Nimian Legends.
Definitely against the grain, as currently it's exploration only. Very beautiful graphics, and good - if not excellent - world design.
The main TA thread is here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=237171

Disclaimer: Shamelessly promoting a game experience I absolutely adore ;)

By the way, where is your blog? Mind posting a link?
EDIT: found your website in your profile :) will take a look later.

Just read your story on your blog. Incredible what you achieved, I salute you with all my heart and utmost respect.
About the problems with your hands:
Maybe this helps you http://www.infogrip.com/products/keyboards/alternative/touchfree-keyboard.html ?
Here it is on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/LIGHTIO-LightIO-Ergonomic-Touchless-Keyboard/dp/B00AM6T58A
It uses infrared to detect which keys you touch. I think it would be similar to an iPad surface, i.e. smooth glass, when you touch it.
Note that it is tiny, about half the size of a normal keyboard afaik (I don't own it myself, I use a TECK at work) . Here are two pictures that give an impression of the actual size:

    http://www.lightio.com/img/touchless-keyboard-2.jpg

Since I got RSI, I am a bit of a keyboard/ergonomics nutcase ;) if the LightIO doesn't work out for you, feel free to let me know and I'll dig around what else I can find.

Found some of the other keyboard stuff I remembered:
Orbitouch at http://orbitouch.com/ . I'd imagine that for you a lot depends on how the surface feels for you, but might be worth taking a look.

Or you could use a projection keyboard on a surface that you can stand to touch for longer than a few minutes.
    Here's one example: http://www.amazon.com/Celluon-Magic-Laser-Projection-Keyboard/dp/B005ES6E6W
The "sponsor links" further down the page have more models, e.g. the Atongm which combines a keyboard & mouse projection: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NBNFGAC?psc=1

it does slow me down, so I'm leaning more towards dictation
Dictation still isn't perfect so it gets frustrating.

I'd like to know how Monument Valley's optical illusions were made!
Although I suppose there must be an article explaining how they did it somewhere on the internet.
Am I too lazy to search atm? Yes sir.

Are you interested in blogging about an abstract strategy game (of course it is my game)?
If so I have a lot of ammunition for you...Long history, Plenty of videos. it has been reviewed in Edge and others. Had it's AI discussed in AIGame Dev. And was even used as a basis for a thesis. It is now in it's 3rd iteration. 1st was back in 1984 for Apple II. 2nd was a few years ago for iOS, and the 3rd (soon to be released) for iOS, Mac, Windows and will include online multiplayer for 2 to 4 players. You can even try it online now, or become a beta tester for the new version.
