Iain,

is there any thoughts/movement to online multiplayer for this? It would be an ideal candidate for Game Center async and it would be vastly more enjoyble than slugging it out against the partially competent AI.

Regards

Not yet - the focus has been on fixing the crashes. We have a lead. We think it may be related to the sound settings. If anyone has a crash can you tell us what your volume levels are set to in game? We suspect setting it to 0% is the issue. It was an issue in the marmalade engine the developers licensed and they're looking for a work around to avoid it.

We hope to look at multiplayer once the stability issues are resolved. We already have our own MP asynch server which we use for all our cross platform games and this allows users to play android vs iPhone vs pc etc.

I've not had a crash but then I've been playing with sound on. I've experienced that winning from a resumed save game doesn't give you the green symbol in the campaign map and therefore counts as a loss.

I've also had an instance where the AI produced a knight but for the life of me I couldn't see a stables anywhere in their kingdom...

There are also some very small maps, which if you play at the highest difficulty levels, are impossible to win... No great shakes I suppose as simply reducing AI difficulty will resolve that.

And the AI still doesn't play very optimally using level 2 defences and either of the econ buildings. The AI does occasionally build them, but it's far too rare to make an impact. Conversely a human will build them on all safe areas. In that sense it can be a bit formulaic.

I guess multiplayer is the only real solution.

Well I have after the actual Update a Problem:

On my iPad 3 I have a new icon: It is white with the only word "Marmalade" on it ... also the game seems to support retina but I can see with very small letters in the right upper corner the frame rate ...

Did you upload a Beta Version or something like that?

Hilarious. I have an iPad 3 and the same effect - Marmalade icon and a tiny frame counter at the top of the screen.

I really want to like this, but the clunky UI and graphical formatting puts me off. Other similar programs (slay, strategy war) don't keep swapping you in and out of the main screen to perform routine actions or cover screen real-estate with big icons. Hopefully this will be further updated because there is a lot of good in this game.

1. Good to know, I am not the only one ...

2. Yup, I agree 100%! I love Slay since more than ten years and I was hoping this will be a 'better, more complex Slay' but this one seems to be not 'complete' at all ...
