Furthermore, Kingturn is a universal app, so it takes advantage of the given screen resolution and density, and you don't have to pay twice (for an iPad and an iPhone version).

There is a good chance that we will port the remakes of Sw&Ear (now Kingturn Plus) and Knighturn (now Kingturn Underworld) to iOS as well. The final decision depends on how well Kingturn RPG is received by the iOS community, though.

For the time being we have reactivated Sw&Ear and Knighturn for those who 'desperately' want to grab a copy of it.

The main reason why we don't want to offer Sw&Ear and Knighturn any longer on the long run is this: The underlying technology was never meant to support the increasingly high screen resolution and density of modern phones. So sooner or later we will run into serious technical problems.

For Kingturn we have entirely recoded our game and graphics engine.
Kingturn should run perfectly fine, no matter what surprises hardware manufacturers might come up with in the future.
Why not just set the two old games to "free" then and leave them up? This would then also serve as a way for new players to actually try out your earlier work as a way to help decide if they wish to purchase Kingturn.

Kingturn Plus sounds more like an enhanced version of Kingturn, not like a separate game.
"Kingturn Andaria" , maybe?
Honestly, I have no idea how we always end up with these very unfortunate titles .
I guess that's what happens if you let IT guys make such decisions.

The only positive exception is Kingturn Underworld, and this title was suggested by one of our loyal players.

So by all means, if anyone has a good idea ...
(Kingturn Andaria isn't bad I think. But considering the amount of confusion we will quite likely cause by renaming Kingturn Plus now (at least for Android where the game is on the market for quite some time already), it should be well worth it).

I understand your notion, but I doubt we would do ourselves a favor right now by doing so.
Like I've mentioned already in the Kingturn thread, the quality of Kingturn is substantially higher than the one of Sw&Ear and Knighturn, and I don't want to be judged any longer by titles that have been initially designed for Java ME phones.

Also, the funny thing is that the overall sales of our Android games have increased substantially the very moment we've removed Sw&Ear and Knighturn from Google Play.

The required budget for developing a title as complex as Kingturn is quite a substantial one, and the next months will decide whether we will 'succeed or die'.
So at the moment I don't want to take any risks.
One day we might consider giving away Sw&Ear and Knighturn for free as 'abandonware', though.

You're right, that makes sense too. I'm yet to try any of your games, but Kingturn was recommended to me. Will there also be a lite version for it tomorrow?

Kingturn (for iOS) can be downloaded for free.
It comprises 6 free-to-play prologue scenarios which should give you a good idea about the game play in general.

There is a one-time inapp-purchase to unlock the full version (priced at 4.99 USD).
The full version comprises the main campaign 'Knights of Andaria' (67 scenarios at the moment) as well as a skirmish campaign.
Altogether more than 80 scenarios are added with unlocking the full version.
