Gameplay vid looks pretty awesome. Waiting for some initial hands-on impressions before buying. Any takers?
There's a free version in the App Store that you can check out. I've only been playing for a little bit and so far it's great. It takes a fair amount of time to complete a mission, but if you like strategy war games, this is right up there with Battle of the Bulge
I was thinking the same about BoTB, which I have on both of my iDevices. I will definitely give the lite version a gander after work.
Not really dice. Stronger units cause the enemy to retreat. That's actually one of the things I don't like -- if I attack a territory, if there is an adjacent territory controlled by the enemy, he just retreats and doesn't lose much if any strength. The only way to destroy an army is to surround it so there is no way to retreat (there's also air support that can knock out weak forces but a strong army just retreats)
This was quite good when I tried the freemium version, good to see the move to a full priced premium option as well
