    This looks to me like iOS is rising higher in gaming against the 3DS and NGP. Increases in revenue of iOS gaming has been significant since last year.

    the stars
    that was obvious

    Even without the analysts, everyone should have assumed that was going to happen.

    What's sad is that despite some great titles, it almost feels like the market has become over-saturated and a little stale. BTW, when is Anomaly War zone Earth supposed to come out?

    It's nothing surprising. I actually thought the iOS/Android market would have expanded even further than the statistics show. They're on there way to dominating the portable gaming market either way. It won't be long.

    +1 to everything in this post. My DS and PSP pretty much belong to my brother now. If he didn't play them, they'd honestly just be in my closet. Actually, I think they're in his closet. He'd rather play the Wii :D. That says something. Oh, he's eight.

    I will be honest I still play my other handhelds , but I havent brought any games for them in a while.
    Ipod just has so many unique items ,so many great games. The prices are ridiculously cheap and the quality is great. I play both casual and hardcore games. Gameloft has some solid titles, and chillingo publishes some good casual games. Honestly right now Iam hooked on tiny wings , which I never thought I would be.
    You can tell iphone/ipod is the standard for games. Android and windows mobile stay trying to copy us very hard.

    Man, I'm getting a 3DS this weekend. The games cost so much more though. Won't be having a backlog and buying everything I want with that, heh. Well, the iOS is the standard for mobile games. In a way, it's because the AppStore was established first and had pretty strong foothold in the industry already before the Android joined. It was too late.

    The Harvard Institute of Technology has conducted an extensive research on this subject. After 4 months of sweat and blood, they have come to an extraordinary yet not unexpected conclusion:

    DS = lamesauce
    iPod Touch = awesomesauce.

    Mobile phones will very likely take the place of portable gaming consoles in the future years, i can predict that now.

    Mobile phones will never take the place of portable gaming consoles for two very simple reasons their battery's completely suck and they don't have proper controls.

    I'll admit the 3ds seems pretty poor for a Nintendo handheld though and Sony is an incredibly hard company to like even if they do deliver the goods occasionally.
