NO! Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (5th generation), iPad (3rd generation), iPad Wi-Fi + 4G, iPad (4th generation), iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular (4th generation), iPad mini and iPad mini Wi-Fi + Cellular. Requires iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
That is a patently false statement of the requirements. Those have neither been published nor revealed anywhere. (Except to members of the press possibly, who would still be under embargo.) If it supports the iPad mini, it supports the iPad 2. You can ignore that post anyway, its not confirmed. It will support whatever idevices are currently in production in all likelihood, just with different levels of effects. But we obviously won't know until its launched.
I hope the iPad 3rd gen has the same effects as the iPhone 5... Most likely not but I hope to see atleast most effects like higher texturs, rear view mirrors, car reflections (dynamic reflections).
The requirement is just a rumor! (Not Spam) NO STRESS! But the O.S is sure: Requires iOS 5.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5 Of course! Let's wait in peace everybody! 20 more days = December
The spam one was dhd2751, who said he had bought it when he obviously couldn't have had. It wasn't referring to you. Your post gave the impression that those were the definite requirements, what you should have said is that those are the expected requirements. It gave some the impression that certain devices would be excluded when the probability is that whatever NFSMW runs on is what this will probably run on. Probably but not definitely. They have said it will be iPhone 5 optimised during launch of the phone so some of what you say is definitely right. It's just better to be clearer that what you're saying is expected rather than definite so as not to stress out those with a4 or early a5 devices.
RETRACTATION The requirement is a spam, rumor or any other designation. But... as you yourself said: "It gave some the impression that certain devices would be excluded" And will be! Unfortunately... differently from NFSMW. (Translating: the "older" ones).
I suggest to anyone reading this thread to just go ahead and ignore all posts by this user. No requirements have been definitively stated by anyone with any affiliations to the development of RR3. If NFS: most wanted is any indication it will support "older" devices. I could be wrong though.
I was playing NFS: Most Wanted when I remembered that EA bought Firemint after RR2 and, of course, before RR3. So, my question is: will RR3 have some licensed songs, like NFS: Most Wanted? What do you think? At least I hope so.
In this interview, Rob Murray confirms that the footage shown on the screen behind him is running on the "A5+" (he means A5X) from the new iPad. Given that this was filmed long before the fourth gen iPad was revealed, it gives an indication as to what iPad 3 gamers can expect. http://youtu.be/UQhuTO7qcWE
Hey guys, for those wondering we'll reveal the full list of supported devices close to launch. Can't say when exactly we're launching of course, but it is still on track for 2012.
Of course you can tell us. We totally promise not to tell anybody else and keep it completey under our hats. Oh wait. Seriously, we'll be very happy whenever it comes. I'm sure it'll be polished and optimised within an inch of its life so take as long as ye need to be happy with it, we will be blown away by it going by the footage already shown. Thanks Sam. Edit. Actually, one question if you can answer it. Will it be universal or will it have separate versions for iPad and iPhone like RR2?
Will it also include the cheating opponents and the lack of intellegent driving of your opponent like in RR2?
