So I ordered a replacement battery from Amazon for my old laptop... (found it by model number), but when I got it in the mail, this one's specs are 10.8v and 5200mAh, but on my original, the specs are 14.4v and 2000mAh... is it safe to use the replacement or could it damage the laptop? Should I just return it?

    Never done this before, lol.

That is a pretty significant difference in voltage, amperage, and total power. I would get the correct replacement. Amazon is very good about replacements - they will ship one out (usually 2nd day air) without them having to receive the incorrect one. You won't be charged as long as you return it within 30 days.
