Now it just crashes for me on startup. Just shows title screen and then crash. Tried rebooting my iPod Touch. Crashes every time. My wife will be devastated she loves this kind of games. I guess i better get something else. Any suggestions of good similar games would be greatly appreciated.

Nyha! I know of good FREE alternatives to both, just do a quick little search for "Shen Mansell" and you can grab his Billionaire (a Columns clone with much better controls although I don't think it has play vs. an opponent) and Gumdrops (close to Puyo Puyo but again without the ability to play against an opponent).

columns is still a game i enjoy very very much. despite it's simplicity it definitely holds up for fans of these types of puzzlers.

but i agree this port doesn't feel right at all. i might check out the update if it fixes things (is it free still?) if not then i am not interested.

might be worth to check shen's Billionaire game if it's a similar thing with better controls though!! I think he made all his stuff free anyway (too bad - i would pay a buck for a decent polished columns game for real!)

I just bought this. I should heed the warnings. This game is so awful. The sounds are way off , graphics are fuzzy, and a lack of animation. There was no effort put into this game

Now I just play Crazy Drops for my Puyo Puyo ios addiction.
