And how long is this game? Card Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 818 6 18 Toronto Canada #7 Card, Jul 20, 2012 ^ +1 to those questions. =) GeekyDad Well-Known Member Jan 14, 2012 1,173 0 0 Games Journalist #8 GeekyDad, Jul 20, 2012 Yeah, I was hesitant at first too regarding the level restarting with each new dungeon, but in reality, it basically makes the game feel like a new game each time you start a new dungeon. And that's what gives this game legs. Of course, none of your hard work is in vain, as the money and XP you earn throughout each dungeon goes toward permanently unlocking and leveling up new weapons and abilities. So, though your character returns to level 1 each time, you're still building up attributes. Caveat: I found the archer to be the only viable class. The mage is clumsy as hell to control, and the melee dude can get wiped out fast. That being said, I feel like I got more than my money's worth just playing the archer. This is, by far, the best Diablo (lite) clone I've found on iOS. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #9 awp69, Jul 20, 2012 Agree that this is one of my favorite hack n' slash/Diablo type clones even though the dual stick controls gives it a different feel. Just wanted to mention that I just finished the main quests with the melee/warrior character and while it did get tough at times, it's certainly doable and was an enjoyable run. Looking forward to replaying with one of the other characters (perhaps based on your advice, I'll go with the archer). Worth picking up while it's on sale again. ArtNJ Well-Known Member Jul 13, 2009 3,212 29 48 New Jersey #10 ArtNJ, Jul 20, 2012 This is from hazy memory, but there are maybe 15ish different levels, each takes um, 15 minutes (hazy recollection) to clear. Each level your gear resets, but your upgrades dont. Some of the upgrades allow you to find certain types of gear. As you progress in the level, you find more and better gear. So every level has gear progression, but there is also permanent progression through the upgrade choices. There are 3 classes, the archer is the coolest by far, but maybe a little too easy. People sometimes have trouble activating the warrior's special powers, and the mage plays kind of similar to the archer but is not as much fun (and not as easy if you want a challenge). Its a really fun diablo-light (very light) action RPG. Maybe the best one from a pure action perspective (when playing the archer), although the Solomon's games are pretty clearly substantively better, deaper and better supported. The developer seems to have abandonded this title (unless someone has heard something?), so it is what it is. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
