For those people who were not around in the golden age of 8bit computers, the Sinclair ZX Spectrum was a popular computer in the United Kingdom.

Many years ago when Clive Townsend worked for Durrell Software, before Saboteur was written, he started working on a game called Death Pit, which was advertised in many of the magazines of that era... Except the game was never published because, well Saboteur got in the way, and many people wondered what happened to that game.

So zip forward into the present, with idle in between moments of what we are working on, Clive decided to get Death Pit working on the iOS devices, made the world scroll instead of screen flipping, but essentially it's the same game from well over 25 years ago.

Now, the question is, in a novelty vibe, would people who are interested in retro gaming be interested in seeing this released to the App Store?

Also, been Clive, he did not just stop with Death Pit, he has done the same for Saboteur and Saboteur 2 - not yet on iOS but working in Java - so in effect we could release all Clive's output from Durrell Software as an all in one nostalgic App for the store.

We could re-factor the graphics to make them pretty but also retain the Spectrum ones (but without the colour clash) - so the user can flip between classic and modern looks.

Anyway, what are peoples thoughts on this?

    Here's a screen shot:
