Seems to be a sequel to Rayman: Jungle Run and Rayman: Fiesta Run which were both really good auto-runners.

    Zactly!

And it seems we may have control over the character facing when running, similar to the now-pulled Project 83113 game, which could mean we have a more-platformer-than-runner Rayman soon. Fingers crossed!

Oh hell yeah! Loved the first one, so much fun. Sega/Sonic could learn a few things from how Ubisoft have keep Rayman relevant in the mobile market :)

WOW. Played the first 2 to death. Hope "soon" means "this week" soon.

    Great find

Behold the glory brothers and sisters! You know the age old question: "Is there another game like Swordigo?" Now there is! Now there is!

I'd argue that the runner part of Rayman Games on mobile (and Adventures by extension) makes them a different, more linear beast than Swordigo.

I agree, I almost added the runner hybrid part but was too excitable at the time, heehee. As far as the side scroller Metroidvania (there, I said it) part it nails it spot on. Lots of exploring and replaying. Killer, can you do some kind of zombie cow voodoo and make it come out tomorrow?

I can try, not sure that it's going to work :D. But Ubisoft games (apart from the still missing Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars) usually come soon after being announced. It could be a nice surprise for this week (although I think they would have announced the date in the trailer if that was the case).

I'm quite optimistic we'll see it before the end of the month. That and "This War of Mine" (amongst many other gems like Heroki and the Executive) will make for a really nice and diverse set of games for July.

PocketGamer said this is a freerunner and not an autorunner. Any truth to this? I'd love to see the new game be a freerunner.

You can change the direction of Rayman (by swiping left and right) but it's still an auto-runner and I think it shows in the video (which is Pocket Gamer's only source of information).

Guess this is more of a free runner than an auto runner though.

Well it's more than a "simple" runner. But Rayman still moves automatically so technically... still an "auto" runner :)

But yes, it's more than just a runner.

Why doesn't Ubisoft port over Hoodlum Havoc? That game is drenched in creativity and adventure

And it was outrageously funny :) I loved that game back in the days.

Sorry for the double post but:

    Website is live:
    https://www.ubisoft.com/en-GB/game/rayman-adventures/

Game is out this fall, made by Ubisoft Montpellier. Seems like there will be musical minigames and a focus on exploration. Plus planned updates.
Rayman Adventures seems to be iOS exclusive for now.

So I was way off base with my prediction of "July" release :(
Welp, at least we know now :)
