If you had to develop a gameplay demo, what tech would you use?

    Hi all,

I'm in the process of budgeting production for a Kickstarter campaign and one of the elements will be a short gameplay video. The game code is not read to be shown yet, so I'm looking into ways to demo the UI and a couple of gameplay elements separately.

I could build it in Flash and record a movie of the animations. I could build in CSS3 as a web app. Or maybe Lua and Carona or Marmalade.

Would love to hear from any devs who have built a demo separate from their actual game code.

    Thanks very much.

For quick prototyping use Stencyl or even Gamesalad.

If you only need a GUI demo, those are the tools you want.
    I like Stencyl better.

Gideros (coding in Lua) can be a good option.
