They are spot on for me. However they are not exactly where I'd like them despite some adjustment available. But once I fall back into control placement they are very reactive.
Good game! Got it cheap. Perfect example of a good 2D puzzler although I will get annoyed with it pretty soon, but that's just me. 54 years old and still get very frustrated with games! You'd think I'd have calmed down by now! But no.

Just installed the latest update and everything seems to be working fine in ios8 now. Thanks to the dev for the fix!
Yes, but the controls take some getting used to. The d-pad is strange on both configurations, but this is a great game.
I really want this.. I'm trying to be a "smart shopper" here, I know this game has been a buck before.. 7 dollars (because I will buy the IAP) seems to high or am I just spoiled by some of the great titles I've gotten for under 5 dollars? This looks freakin awesome
It's a great game. I paid full price for it and bought the IAP, and I've been happy with my purchase. I can understand your trepidation, though.
Considering on steam, psn, and Xbox market it's over $7, that's a steal. Yeah, you're spoiled. The ios market has so many cheap games, that people think everything past $1.99 is expensive.
Trust me I'm part of the solution.. I own almost every premium game that drops.. I'm just trying to save a buck for once
My one concern were the controls but I have no issue with them whatsoever.. This game oozes with charm..
