I don't know any reasons why anybody should buy an iPad.

I'm getting once as soon as it's available Worldwide.

 

I have one and it rocks. Games are great and movies are actually watchable and very enjoyable as opposed to the small iphone/ipod screen. And boy, they look great.

The ipad is a winner. I have not touched the 3gs phone or 3gs ipod touch for gaming or entertainment and frankly, probably will not since I have the ipad.

 

im glad the ipad is out, let the hype die down. and ill get a ipod gen 4 to replace my gen 2.. and pick up a ipad gen 2. thats the plan at this point. even tho i was close to buying one just for my music stand. i think it would work great for reading music.. i mean i could spend a grand for the same thing and all it would do is read pdf.. and no apps. heh.

I might consider a 2nd gen iPad depending on how things shape up for it over the next year or so. I just don't see a point in getting one at the moment.

 

I'm waiting for some RPGs on it. Right now there are zero.

Can't every iPhone game play on the iPad? Plus, I know at least Dungeon Hunter HD (Gameloft's dungeon crawler) is out.

 

2x mode looks terribly pixelated.

Dungeon Hunter was ok but too short and more of an action rpg.

 

Are there any non ARPG's aside from The Quest?

 

On actual gaming consoles , ipad was for web browsing. At this price why not just get a laptop?

 

They should buy it because it's the worlds first electronic tampon

obviously just about everyone here has an iPhone/iPT but not everyone has an iPad.
I'd create one but I don't have one yet..

 

I can't imagine anyone going to public places with that fat thng.

 

I don't think I'll be buying an iPad until it support Flash. I'm a poker fanatic so it's essential that I can play at my favourite poker rooms on any device. I can understand Apple not allowing real money gabling apps in their App Store, but not being able to play flash based Instant Play online poker in the browser is a deal breaker for me..

It's easy for Steve Jobs to say that HTML5 is the future, the problem is that HTML5 is fine for playing video but it's still years away from being able to run games.

Please Steve, address this!!!

I got a 64 gig 3G iPad and honestly I can't even stand looking at my iPhone screen anymore. I'm thinking of just getting a no-contract texting go phone and getting rid of my iPhone.
