App description: Classic run and jump gameplay with a high speed twist!

The force of the wind is a constant obstacle and tool as you solve puzzles on top of a bullet train! Moving against it is difficult, but moving with it grants you a burst of speed! Boxes, switches, and other objects form diabolical puzzles that require a sharp mind and quick reflexes.

☆ 60 levels packed with puzzles, switches, boxes, and restarting because of complications due to boxes! With more on the way!

☆ A mission for every level! If you want even more of a challenge, each level has it's own mission that you can try to accomplish! Some aren't too bad but others have been known to cause ragequits!

☆ Responsive Touch Controls! Touch screen platformer controls are never as good as a controller, but they come very close here! A simple 2 way D-Pad and jump button are all you have to deal with, ensuring that it's simple to hit what you're aiming for.

☆ Support for ALL iOS devices! From the 1st Gen iPod Touch to any iPad you want, you'll be able to play! iPhone 5 resolution is supported too, so you won't have to stretch your thumbs past the black bars!

☆ Time Attack mode! How fast can you clear all the levels back-to-back? See if you can get the best time on the leaderboard (aside from the inevitable hackers)!

☆ Controller support! Want to take it to the next level? Bullet Train Hell features full support for iOS Game Controllers like the iControlPad, complete with remappable buttons so you don't end up having to press start to jump!

TriStarch's comments:

Hey guys, Bullet Train Hell is a side project I've been working on by myself for a long time and have finally released! It's a wind-based puzzle platformer designed around the limitations of the touch screen. There's only left, right, and jump buttons so it's simple to play without worrying about if your thumbs have drifted too far from the controls.

The controls may be simple, but that doesn't mean the game is! Levels are full of interactive switches to step on that can affect the way the wind works. You'll have to think outside of the box, manipulating the wind in many different ways, to make your way to the exit. There's plenty of tough levels and even tougher side missions so anyone who likes challenging platformers will love it!

It's universal with remappable iControlPad/iCade support, and free to download with a $1.99 IAP to unlock all the levels, which also includes all future content! It's also compatible with all iOS devices, back to the iPod 1st Gen!

Feel free to post any questions/feedback here, I'm always looking for ways to improve it. Thanks!

I'm currently working on the levels for the update.. I'm gonna be moving into a new apartment in a couple weeks so I'm shooting to get it submitted before all that begins. After that, I'll probably work on finishing up the Android/Ouya versions.

I'm currently working on a new set of levels that will come out in the next update. Just out of curiosity, has anyone made it through all the levels yet?
I have finished all the levels. Haven't completed all the challenges yet. Some are really challenging. Thanks for making a fun and skill based game.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been active lately. My full time job is also at a game studio and we've been really busy on a big project lately. I've been a little burned out programming all day at work and trying to work on my own projects too.

I am still working on the update though, and things are finally starting to wind down a bit at work. I've currently got 10 levels ready that I'm really happy with and I'm shooting for 15 for the update. There's also going to be some shorter time attack courses, better iPhone 5 support, and some new level features aside from the launch pads.

Ok, cool. No problem. Just was curious if stuff was still coming. No need to rush, I'm fine knowing that content is being worked on

Sorry for the delay everybody! The update is now live and here's a quick rundown:

-15 new levels featuring the new launching platforms (and more challenging missions)
-Another new gameplay feature that was hopefully worth the wait
-More (and shorter) Time Attack courses available after completing the new level set
-Fullscreen graphics support for iPhone 5/iPad (switchable in video options)

Let me know if there's any tweaks or fixes you'd like to see! I'm going to do a minor update pretty soon as I found one little graphical issue that I definitely want to fix.
