Shred lute and collect loot in the critically acclaimed action-rpg Bardbarian!

In BARDBARIAN you play as Brad the Barbarian, who is (once again) awoken to the sounds of his town under siege. Today is no ordinary day though Brad has grown tired of fighting. The XP grind has grown dull, and his heart beats with a musical bloodlust. Crafting a magic lute out of an old war axe, he steps outside...

Use your magical axe-lute to summon followers to fight for you. Navigate your party through the hordes of enemies, dodging and attacking, preventing them from destroying your town's prized decorative crystal. Survive waves to progress, collect loot, and unlock new units.

Upon death you are able to visit the town shop in order to upgrade Brad, the town and your followers, in hopes to make it further next time. Over 75 different upgrades are available, plus a total of 12 unlockable units.

Finished story mode? Play Endless and Survival modes for some fun, fast and competitive gameplay variety, set your best scores, collect achievements and challenge your friends via GameCenter integration.

12 units to unlock & loads of loot to upgrade pretty much everything!
Over 8 enemy types to make you regret everything
4 Epic boss battles to crush your spirits
Original, hand drawn artworks
GameCenter Integration with Achievements and Leaderboards

NZ Release info :

The Game is out in New Zealand. It should be out in US at about 11 PM EST and Europe at around 12 AM UK time. Size of the app is 67.8 MB.

Price in NZ is $1.29 which should translate to USD $0.99

Requirements :

Requires iOS 4.3 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.

Gameplay is a unique hybrid of: arcade, rpg, strategy/tower defense and a shoot-em-up.

You play as Brad, who is tired of being a barbarian and always wanted to make music, so one day, when his town is under attack, decides to play music instead of fighting. While playing music, brad inspires the townsfolk to fight for him instead of hiding.

The moral of the game is doing what makes you happy instead of whats expected of you, the irony is that brad could kill most of these enemies with one swing of his weapon, but chooses not to.

Dodge enemy projectiles while your followers attack for you. Use power-solos for attack, defense and speed buffs. Killing 5 enemies without being hit will give you a stun power-solo which knocks back and stuns your enemies, as well as destroying all enemy projectiles.

- Unique, hybrid, genre-bending gameplay
- Hand-drawn original artwork.
- 12 unlockable characters! Customize your party loadout, over 200 possible combinations.
- Collect loot from your fallen enemies and upgrade Brad, the town, and your units in the shop!
- 4 intense boss battles.
- An awesome rock/metal soundtrack by Maximum Satan

It's a shame this didn't perform better as it was a good game, loved the music. More games should use's the whole reason I liked slayer pinball, well slayer + pinball
I spent around $16 on IAP and I don't regret it. The developers did a great job on this game. But getting the golden axe as a token when I already bought it, sucks.

Hi Guys, We're happy to announce our latest title: JumpJet Rex, which is currently in Early Access on Steam:

Sorry if this is not exactly the right place to post this, as it's a PC title, not iOS, but we thought some of you might be interested anyways.

Be warned, it's an entirely different game than Bardbarian, it's not TD, and it has a 16-bit art style, but we promise, it's just as addicting, if not more!

We plan on staying in Early Access for 10-12 weeks, which should give us plenty of time to implementing lots of cool ideas and community feedback. It will likely come to iOS after we finish the PC and Console versions.

If you liked Bardbarian, and would like to support TreeFortress, we can really use your help getting this new title off the ground.
