Thanks for the link to the vid and good luck with the game. I'm on the fence about purchasing this game because I have several others.

Other than the use of real world characters and the ability to challenge friends, is there anything else that separates this game from the other snowboarding games on the market?

After watching the videos I'd disagree with this. The game looks great from the videos but from the screenshots I thought it was some kind of tricks mini-game. I'd really recommend putting some actual gameplay screenshots in the App Store shots.

Graphics and physics are higher quality than other snowboarding games on the market. It also has skiing characters and tricks. And there are multiple paths down the mountain. It's similar to SummitX Snowboarding which was quite popular last year, but was taken off the App Store. The control scheme is much more intuitive and casual, and the game plays holding your device vertical.
