The winners of last week's Game of the Week poll are in! First Place: Junk Jack X (43 votes) Second Place: Terraria (30 votes) Third Place: 868-HACK (17 votes) Last week's thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=202158 The first part is nomination where every member can vote up to 5 games to be included in the poll. Releases active before Saturday are eligible, weekend releases can be nominated the following poll. 10 games with the most nominations will then be added to the poll on Sunday. Poll will remain open until next Wednesday and whichever game has the max votes, will be Touch Arcade forum's Game of the Week. Please note: 1) Developers, publishing partners, or affiliates cannot vote for their own games. If your game is in the poll, you can't vote. You are free to ask TA forum posters in your game release thread to vote for your game... but please don't post multiple messages about it. 2) This voting is for TA members - no outsiders allowed. If you have to ask someone to create a new account to vote, you're doing it wrong. 3) Suspect votes may be void. Notice of this poll will be given in the threads of all nominated games. You can see new games by looking at AppShopper.com and checking the "New" tab. http://appshopper.com/games/new/ 2013: Infected Wars Thread Video Ancient Battle: Rome Thread Video Arma Tactics Thread Bombcats Special Edition Thread Video Bonds of Skies Thread Call of Duty: Strike Team Thread Video Da Vinci's Demons: The Apprentice Thread Giant Boulder of Death Thread Video Mecho Wars HD Thread Siege Hero Wizards Thread This Is Not A Test: A Post-Apocalyptic Prequel Thread Video Ultima IV: C64 Thread Zombie Highway: Driver's Ed Thread Video Credit to EchoSeven, the normal GOTW originator.
Due to a mishap with the poll in the original thread, this one was created so proper voting can occur. The nominations can be found here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=202876 Edit: The nominations thread was deleted but what is recorded in the poll is the top 10 nominations in order of vote (or alphabetically if a tie).
It's either Driver's Ed or CoD for me, and i went with DE which i already completed in terms of upgrades. Some of the endgame missions are quite difficult thoug, so i wasnt able to finish all of them yet. That said, it has eaten most of my time this week. Work has been pretty unforgiving and ive been pretty busy the past 2 weeks, not a lot of time at all to invest on other purchases especially CoD, which i had asked my sister in law buy me an itunes card for. Would really want to finish it though, before IB3 hits, coz by then, i'd probably ignore everything else.
Next time someone wants to call out a dev for voting for their own game when they should have known the rules, remember this, nobody reads, nobody. Despite the bold text statement and post by UC, there are still more votes in the old thread than this one. Where dem mods at anyway? This is sort of becoming a mess
Sorry ! He did request it a while back, got missed out due to lots of posts about the usual spam/squabbling etc ! All back to normal now !
Siege Hero Wizards. It's a great remix of the Siege Hero formula with new powers and now if a good guy dies it's an instant fail. It makes for an excellent sequel and though I don't think it'll get enough attention for a win, I'm still more than happy to throw my vote to it. A great sequel to my favorite physics puzzle game
I posted announcements in the threads of the nominated games with this location, and the previous thread is deleted so hopefully things are set right. No worries, I was too busy spamming and squabbling in other threads to notice... If I remember correctly This is Not a Test: A Post-Apocalpytic Prequel was not successfully nominated for voting (only the top 10 games can be included due to forum poll count restrictions) having received only 1 nomination. I agree This Is Not A Test does look promising.
Votes by users with no posts created on the day of polling will be discounted, unless there is good reason to believe the user is legitimate. Who are you calling a shill?!? Oh wait... that is sort of sad, otherwise a good game.
Seem this week going for Call of Duty: Strike Team or Ancient Battle: Rome I vote for Zombie Highway: Driver's Ed
Hunted Cow Studios indicated they removed well intentioned mention of this poll from their Facebook/Twitter pages; I am sure this is an innocent slip-up. Hunted Cow Studios have a great track record of quality games and have been very transparent about any concerns. I previously voted for Ancient Battle: Rome and hope it gets the attention it deserved from users here. Altogether they seem like a classy studio. The following votes are void, unless new users prove to remain active over the following days: berneanu, BillRountree, Leemz, davidutz, dekota1986, Hybrid8Rainbow8, nickx8, Rezasa, samy6671, zukira, Zorg and Retrobo83
My vote goes to COD. As odd as it may sound it's innovation for iOS FPS. It's a hybrid game that can actually works both ways. It's well deserved if they do win!
