I've been playing this for a while now. Usually this kind of game is too intimidating for me to get into. This does a real good job at explaining whatever to do. First you've got to manage your fleets in your solar system, after that you've got to micro manage your ships in combat. There are no difficulty settings, which makes it a bit frustrating for a strategy noob like me. The combat is based on planning and dice rolls. This is a digital tabletop game, so there should be dice rolls. But it also leads to unfair situations, where a bad roll totally ruins your planning. After 3 hours I'm still a bit confused, but having a good time. Or if it has some kind of skirmish mode? currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #15 currymutton, Jul 7, 2016 Looks like it has been launched in US touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #16 touchy85, Jul 7, 2016 It has a skirmish mode and multi-player. Dragan Well-Known Member Aug 21, 2014 365 7 18 Belgium #18 Dragan, Jul 7, 2016 Could you give more info on the skirmish, thanks in advance touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #19 touchy85, Jul 7, 2016 I don't really know what to say, I literally never play skirmish in games. But there are 4 factions and 4 modes like capture, mastering, destruction and denomination. And you have to clear the objective in 6,8 or 10 turns. It looks like there are 4 difficulty modes. When you start skirmish you can select a number of points you can spend max. Each ship you select costs points, so you have to make decisions what kind of fleet you need to beat the objective. The actual gameplay of the skirmish mode is pretty similar to the campaign missions. Dragan Well-Known Member Aug 21, 2014 365 7 18 Belgium #20 Dragan, Jul 7, 2016 That's about everything I wanted to know, thanks for the extensive explanation!
