harsh judgement over one picture. I am willing to guarantee that this will have original gameplay. nimblebit is probably the most original developer in the app store.

We are big fans of Call of Snakes, and it's control method did provide a spark for us! "Inspired by" might be the right term to use.

I just saw the article on the front page of TA and I just wanted to say that I'm pretty excited for this game. It looks like they're taking the basic concept of snake, adding some pretty graphics, and mixing in some RPG elements. With NimbleBit's good track record, it sounds like a winning formula for a good game.

I hope it's much better than Call of Snakes.. I got bored of that one after a few run-throughs.

The fantasy-twist seems perfect though. So im looking forward to playing this one.

Inspired by the controls is rather unfair right! So nimblebit were not inspired by it being snake but with different characters that have different offensive weapons... Or by enemies that attack you in different ways... Or having other NPCs that you collect joining your snake.. Etc etc

Saying they were inspired by the control system is a bit of An insult to call of snake when in fact they seem to have been 'inspired' by a lot more than just that.

To clarify I'm not against games being similar it's only sensible that it will happen and I don't doubt that nimblebit with their experience will improve on this genre.

The theme of Nimble Quest looks much more appealing to me then Call of Snakes and I am sure NimbleBit will make NQ a special game, but NQ looks like it is much more then just inspired by CoS. Besides the theme and the pay model, how are the 2 games different?

There's a good chance of this being released in March according to the people at NimbleBit (nothing concrete yet). This is definitely one of my most anticipated games :D
