I turned on my Apple TV 3 and it just does not connect to iTunes, so I only have the [Computers] and [Settings] buttons on screen.

I have tried restarting it and resetting it. Now my iDevices' Remote Apps won't even connect to it any more.

Finally got my Apple TV 3 working again. Here is what I did.

Pulled out all the cables from the back of my Apple TV 3 for half a day. Plugged back only the power cable and HDMI cable. Turned it on, could sign in to iCloud but still unable to connect to iTunes.

So I turned on my iPhone as a hotspot and connected my Apple TV to it and it signed in. Then I changed my Wi-Fi back to my broadband and it has been working since...

I have not turned it off since then, in case it goes bonkers again. Neither have I bought Robocop since it has appeared on iTunes because...

Their are currently two versions of Apple TV available to the market. Sold in stores, the older version saves audio and video as well as stream content. It can best be understood as a video oriented ipod for the tv.
