Plague - the game, that is! It's not easy getting people excited about the Plague, so I thought I would start now; maybe by the time it comes out in Nov/Dec, folks will want to give the Plague to all their loved ones for the Holidays! You can watch my silly video here:http://kck.st/zXuoCd You play as a poor, unfortunate, disease-ridden peasant, spreading the Plague to each level's medieval inhabitants. You try to create a chain reaction of coughing and death - but in a fun way! Plague starts in the countryside, and continues into more and more densely populated levels. Will your carrier cough at just the right time to infect that innkeeper or cook? Will that newly-infected cook spread the Plague to his server, and then on to their customers? Leveling up your carrier's stats will make you more potent and more successful-- Cough Spray Radius, Life Expectancy, Potency, etc.-- so when you replay a level you can try to infect a few more. Here's an early animation test: http://youtu.be/YqSzC4ig8Pg I'm only a month into development, but I'll post updates every month as I create the Plague. Stay tuned! Your Kick Starter link indicates the Plague will be spreading to the iPad as well, which is good news to us iPad owners.
LOL... The concept has definitely piqued my interest. Will surely follow this title. Very unique, very interesting. And from what has been revealed, looks good too.
Wow, this looks really cool. Especially the 'Cough Spray Radius'. Sounds lethal! Looking forward to this one!
Here's a work in progress of one of the death animations: There's more info here:http://kck.st/zXuoCd
Looks like fun. Question though, since historically a big part of why the Bubonic Plague spread was due to rodents and feces. People, horses, and animals pretty much took a dump wherever. Again, not trying to be sick or disgusting, but will you be implementing the guy taking a squat at all? It IS a good method for spreading the plague.
No, the game is (luckily) not trying for historical accuracy, so there will not be any animated evacuating of bowels...
Darn, that would have been somewhat funny if you got a gross sense of humor. Even so, I suppose it's funny enough as it is. I know you're not going for historical accuracy as far as voiding the bowels is concerned, but are you going to have real diseases like say, Bubonic Plague, Cholera, Tuberculosis, or the dreaded Small Pox? Can you get a multi-disease bonus if you infect someone more than once with a different disease?
