The boss on the first level can be a challenge. You'll want one or two upgraded glues to slow him down. Another tip for any final boss in a stage where you can't return them to the start (tornado) is to sell towers that can no longer hurt the boss. You can then use the cash to upgrade/build towers that can reach him.
