"It’s not done and we don’t have a release date yet. We have it running well on the iphone 3GS, and with a little luck we hope to get it running smoothly on the 3G as well. Hopefully more news on this soon." From their website. http://2dboy.com/2009/10/13/happy-birthday-world-of-goo/ Just in case some of you are unfamiliar with the game. Here is a video about the game: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x72eqm_world-of-goo-trailer-2-directors-cu_videogames
Hope they add new levels otherwise it will be the same game that I have already played. Otherwise very excited!
Wow! Very excited. It would be nice if the desktop app and the mobile one could sync together so you wouldn't have to climb thru the levels again, but it's cool. I can't wait!
Just so you guys know, today is the 1 year anniversary of the PC game. To celebrate, you can name your own price and download it right from http://2dboy.com/games.php for as low as $0.01 depending on how much you'd like to give them. It's normally $20.
Okay now this and Plants vs. Zombies are at the top of my wanted list when they finally see the light of day.
Well, we've waited long enough. Yay! Yay! Yay! World of Goo - one of those perfect, flagship, Rolando-style, original games.
This is great news. Its an awesome game, probably the best wiiware title to date and the iPhone controls could be even better than the wii. I'd like to see some extra content though as i've already played through the game on wii, maybe the extra world (the 6th world - the moon) they were going to release with European disc version? Or on Giantbomb they mention a level editor is in the works for PC/MAC, what about including that with the iPhone version? And the leaderboards for each level would be nice too. In fact, why not include plus+ or openfeint with leaderboards and achievements?
Thumbs up to that! Looking at all those W.o.G. clones in the app store, I really missed the game that started it all.
Dude, it's called optimization. World of goo for the PC ran on anything with no lag. I have plenty of faith in 2D Boy.
The prayers of so many of our forum members have been answered... a game for a penny! Seriously though World of Goo is awesome.
