My first thought. Interested to here how it compares. I loved The Last Stand games, because it was more than just holding off zombies. You were budgeting time to find survivors and supplies, were moving across a map, etc.

Yes! I hope they add things like that in future updates for this, like a survival mode that resembles the last stand 1's gameplay of days. Then they could take the last stand 2's features of traveling and gaining help along with collecting supplies. I would gladly pay for it as dlc if I had to.

I'm not sure why, but it comes up as iPad only on the second comment page. But the original page is not the HD version, so you can get that. Took me a minute to realize that. So there is an iPhone version.

Ok, so I droped two bucks on this one and I don't regret it.

If you ever played and enjoyed The Last Stand flash game, you're going to feel right at home, since they are pretty much the same genre.

The interesting thing about it is that it adds a Plant vs Zombie mechanic to spice up the gameplay. You can place obstacle around the field as you fend of zombies (as in The Last Stand it was only do-able during the pre-battle stage).

I love the art style too. There is a lot of details, yet it's simple so it fits the game perfectly. Also the animations are beautiful and fluid.

Eventhough I'm not really far in the game there seems to be a lot of content. The game is divided areas (the first being the farm) that are divided in multiple stages with a boss stage at the end (of I'm not mistaken). I have yet to find how many areas there are though.

There is also a bestiary that seems to be quite extensive. Each zombies has three base stats (speed, damage and health) that vary and a special ability, so the gameplay gets more interesting as you play compared to your run of the mill shoot to the head zombie killing game.

The shop has many weapons and placeable obstacles (mines, boxes, fences, etc.) all of which are upgradable.

There are in-app purchases (coin packs and coin doubler) but they seem to be optional.

All in all, I am very satisfied with this game, I do hope to see a scavenging mechanic added to the game or in a future installement of the serie (if there is one planned) and also a survival mode might add replayability (I don't know if there is one at the end but I can't see any traces of it at the moment). It's great buy for all zombie game or PvZ style games fans.

Unlimited survival mode is available after completing the story.

IAPs are optional. You can enjoy and complete the game without purchasing any gold.

Are you going to add more content? Having survivors and scavenging would be a nice feature. This game already resembles The Last Stand, you might as well go all the way.

Some new content would be nice. Even just some new weapons and barriers. For some reason I really want this mountain man to have a flamethrower...
