Hi folks, We're very excited to formally announce Castle Champions - a new game developed by Artlogic Games that we're publishing. Check out the trailer! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel The game is a tower building and RPG hybrid where you're building a castle to house citizens and train warriors that you send off to battle with other kingdoms in a championship-style league format. The game is fully done and we're targeting March 14 as the release date (barring any issues with the app approval). Castle Champions is the first of 4 games from talented indie Asian game developers that we're publishing this year. We can't wait to start showing each one to you guys soon in the coming months. Hope you guys look forward to the game!
Thanks! It will be free, as is the norm with other tower/street building titles. One aspect that will separate our game is the dual RPG/tower building gameplay. You actually have a timer that ticks down as you're building your castle. When the timer is up, you're thrown into the schedule league battle with the other team. This timer combo is what we think is part of what will make the game addicting. There's also the layer of depth in the game that's not immediately apparent the first time. For example: You'd need to choose your team's formation using the right units/warriors to counter the enemy team's formation. (Do I want to put archers or mages knowing that the enemy has heavy swordsman or do I want to put healers, etc.) We'll bring in more info about the game in the next few days, as I'm sure there are those who have questions about the game.
Hi everyone, As we're nearing our release date of March 14, we wanted to show more of the game starting with a preview of some of the monsters of the game: We'll continue to show more stuff as we get closer to launch!
Another sneak peek of the game - this time it's the melee classes that you can recruit for your team:
It will be free. Btw, this game is developed by Artlogic Games who are the devs behind the super popular Epic War series on Flash portals that has a trigazillion number of plays. This one is a bit more casual than the hardcore Epic War game but it has plenty of hidden depths, such in the way you prepare your formations, etc. At any rate, you've got top notch and experienced RPG devs for sure.
