well im planning an, before i get too involved, i have a question.

we were planning on having some indy devs characters in the app, but, will they do it? it would be us advertising for them. im not talking gameloft, maybe stuff lik lima sky mountain sheep or bolt creative like. if no, i will haveto rethink my project :(

    thanks!

Why don't you contact the devs directly instead of gathering everyones opinion on what the dev may say/think/do?

i would say that only the individual devs could answer that question. Some may go for it, some may not. If you can't ask them, then you're not going to get much farther on the project.
    my 2 cents.

To use someone's creative property you have to talk to them directly

It's amazing what one apostrophe can do. I first thought you wanted indy devs as characters.

Ha ha, that made me laugh :)

If you (the prez) had any interest in using Mr. Stick (from Stick Escape), I would be more than happy to email the file so that you can use it in your game.

    PM me.

It would depend on the game...But looking at the current screenshots, prez, I don't think many big games would agree.

Screenshots? Could I see some? I think the devs would be fine if on your app description you said "Featuring Pygmies from Pocket God by Bolt Creative, check it out at pocketgod.blogspot.com!"

Before approaching, you should have screenshots for your app so they take your request seriously.

this could be interesting (linking).. cross promotion is always welcome

but - seriously, most developers spend money on their artwork; and may not have the rights to simply pass them around to other people - at least not without earning royalties from the artwork. if your plan is to re-use art from other developers, you may run into the risk of confusing the end-user as well, some art is specific to a developer, to establish its brand.

    something to keep in mind.

I don't see it happening unless you create an amazing and seamless experience.
