It's really odd how 'foreign' the interface feels though - as the TA review mentioned, it's almost as if Game Dev Story was originally written for an old Java-based resistive touchscreen phone and then ported to iOS. It doesn't use all of the available display, the navigation is very off, and it just feels wrong.

Still a fantastic game. I'm amazed there haven't been any competitors/clones yet.

I believe that the games were actually made for phones before they even had a touch screen. I'm thinking along the lines of the mid 2000's phones that had the number pad and the four directional arrow keys. These arrow keys are exactly what the the virtual buttons mimic in all their games.

lol, I love the age we live in where $3.99 for 10 or 12 hours of entertainment is considered "grossly over-priced."

The Kairo games go on sale occasionally for exactly one half of grossly over-priced so if you wait a bit maybe you'll get lucky. Thats what I do...

Definitely not overpriced, given the amount of hours you'd spend on it!

I think I bought this and some .99 cent game when it came out, and while the other is gone and long forgotten, this is still installed and gets some decent play time.
