Then sit back and relax as you enjoy the story in ”Memory Lane”. Chosen by Apple as Game of the Week! ”Bumpy Road is one of the best purchases I’ve made on the app store. Not just because the gameplay has a hook unlike anything I’ve played on an iOS device, but also because it’s got a fantastic aesthetic.” - IGN.com (9/10 Editor's Choice) ”While Bumpy Road is indeed a solid high scoring game, it’s the peripheral elements that transcend it from being merely a well-made video game to an unforgettable experience ... if you like high scoring games or touching works of art, then you won’t want to miss Bumpy Road ” - Toucharcade.com "Must Have" - Slidetoplay.com (4/4) ” ... playing it means feeling love, not love for the designers or the medium or the state of being meaningfully distracted or the sense of communion with everyone who does this or even the game itself, but love. The feeling of love.” - Killscreendaily.com Information Seller:Simogo AB Genre:Arcade, Family Release:May 19, 2011 Updated:Nov 25, 2018 Version:2.5 Size:87.5 MB TouchArcade Rating: User Rating: (12) Your Rating:unrated Compatibility:HD Universal backtothis im in ur base killin ur d00dz Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Jul 13, 2009 13,250 1 0 college student (junior) Houston/Austin, TX https://twitter.com/back2this #2 backtothis, Nov 11, 2011 Another must-have.. Should I expect to play an hour before it really starts to get hard or does is there even a difficulty curve? What does that even mean? awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #5 awp69, Nov 11, 2011 Guess this is the best explaination: - Travel as far as you can in "Evergreen Ride" or beat your best time in "Sunday Trip". Then sit back and relax as you enjoy the story in "Memory Lane". There are basically three modes. Evergreen is the endless runner. Sunday Trip is getting to the end of a level in a certain period of time. And Memory Lane, if I remember correctly, has different levels with a "story" intertwined between each level. I enjoyed this game when it first came out with it's different method of endless running (moving the ground up and down to avoid obstacles, change speed, etc.). In some ways, it wasn't really as "new" of a twist as it seemed as Solipskier is similar in gameplay mechanics (but much faster). The novelty kind of wore off on me so it's not on my device at this time (probably still would be if I didn't have such limited space on my 8 GB). That said, it's definately worth $.99. I'm sure I'll download it again in the future as I finish off some other games. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #6 awp69, Nov 11, 2011 Sorry, meant to respond to this too. I'd say there really isn't that bad of a difficulty curve. It's just getting used to the mechanics of moving the ground to keep your car moving and avoiding things. plasmakirby3 Well-Known Member Apr 26, 2011 550 0 0 Junior in High School Northern California #7 plasmakirby3, Nov 11, 2011 Great game, was one of the apps I kept in my signature the longest. Still play it occasionally. Undoubtedly worth the full 3 dollars, but it's a steal at 1 dollar. I was worried about whether or not this game would give me a challenge(if it isn't hard, then it wouldn't be fun). I really don't mind steep learning curves- I actually enjoy a greater challenge. So what I meant to ask was: does it get hard? Thanks. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #9 awp69, Nov 11, 2011 Last edited: Nov 11, 2011 No problem. It's been a bit since I played it, from what I recall, I wouldn't say it's hard as in LoE type hard. It's actually a bit more relaxed than most endless runners even though it's still a challenge to get high scores. So I guess it's probably hard to make it on the leaderboards and, re-reading the main thread on it, the Autumn world steps up the challenge a bit more with moving platforms and stuff. Might want to check the original thread to get a better idea: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=94619 UmbraVir Well-Known Member Sep 4, 2011 491 0 0 Student CT #10 UmbraVir, Nov 11, 2011 Great. Grabbing it now dnk Well-Known Member Apr 15, 2010 768 1 18 #11 dnk, Nov 11, 2011 It's an ok game. Nowhere as 'new' or 'inventive' as some made out this game to be, but clearly the visual is nice and that's a plus point to cover up many of its negative points, like limited game modes, no achievements, no customisation, and little contents. I prefer this game's graphics to Jetpack Joyride's, but as a game, Jetpack Joyride wins hands down. The armors (and thus different mechanism of jumping/flying), customisable appearance, achievements, missions, etc makes that game has a high replay value. And this is coming from someone who didn't like JJ at all until getting it for free from Apple. I agree with most posts above, it gets rather boring after a while. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #12 awp69, Nov 12, 2011 Kind of sums up my feelings as well. I think it's definately worth a $1 and there are some people that really got into it so don't want to discourage people from giving it a try. I got my monies worth (also bought during a $1 sale). But to me, it got a little stale after a while. eddieg Well-Known Member Aug 14, 2009 384 0 0 #13 eddieg, Nov 12, 2011 Great game Doesn't take too long to get the hang of it and looks amazing on the iPad!
