Le Havre is rarely on sale and it's only 99 cents so you should get that first. In terms of gameplay I do not know, but I would get them both since you would save $8 if you buy both!
So, I bought Le Havre, Agricola and Lords of Waterdeep when they have all been on sale (sorry, my wife and I only allow ourselves so much money a month to spend on fun stuff, so I have to look for sales). I haven't opened Le Havre yet, but I hear that it's fantastic. I love Lords of Waterdeep (LoW). If you are not familiar, it and Agricola (and maybe Le Havre to) are worker placement games, Ex: most points at the end wins. Completing quests rewards points. Complete quests by collecting different types of currency. Collect currency by placing your workers (pieces on a spot). That is a worker-placement game in a nutshell, in reverse (or a reverse nutshell...however you want to crack it). I think LoW is a a blast and after playing the tutorial, I picked up on it immediately. Agricola is, from my understanding, one of the best worker placement games out there. It toppled Puerto Rico as boardgamegeek.com's best game and held that spot for a few years. The digital version of Agricola and LoW are both made by playdek. However, while LoW came to me instantly, I still have a tough time understanding what I am doing in Agricola. I have played through the tutorials on two separate occasions I still struggle with understanding the strategy of the game. That being said, it is my aspiration to understand Agricola because it is a gorgeous game, it is obviously well praised, and it looks like it would involve tons of strategy and choices that you would not have with others (including LoW). My thoughts, buy both Le Havre and Agricola. Le Havre is normally 4.99 and Agricola is 6.99 (with 2 different 1.99 IAP to unlock other play decks). However, both are 3.99 right now (Le Havre is .99 and Agricola is 2.99). If I could only get one, I would say Agricola (even though I don't understand it haha). Hope that helps and wasn't too much info.
Reiner Knizia's game Out of all of Reiner Knizia's game, which one would you guys recommend as a must have? I have had Tigris and Euphrates and A Brief History of the World on my watch list for a while. But I have never played any of these game, so I would really appreciate any feedback.
Le Havre, if you like a challenge. Not an easy game, agricola is easier to pick up. But Le Havre is very rewarding and has a higher replay value but winning even from the easy AI can take a while!
I picked up Tikal and New World Colony, and now have all the board games mentioned here. Best game in the list for me is Le Havre, but beware, this is very personal.
I have bought LoW when it got released and I highly recommend to anyone. It's a classic game, together with Neuroshima Hex and Bang!.
Thanks for all the input guys appreciate it, got le havre, will try it soon. and UnhappyUnlucky it was worth it man another special thanks goes to you.
I've added Zombies!!! Board Game. Sorry, I thought it was already on the list can't believe I forgot to add it earlier
Any feedback for greenleaf, people? Sales on the games you listed ends on Dec 1 so you have up until then to decide!
