Thanks for posting; to clarify I'm not entirely sure what restrictions Apple has but your method sounds novel so it may just be none of the popular iOS developers have tried that. Fingers crossed Tales of Illyria will work well on iOS.

The more I checked out information on the game, the more I wish I had an android device so I could play it! I'm really hoping that an ios version can happen, as it would be an immediate purchase for me.

Thanks kurtalb1!

We have limited resources, unfortunately an iOS version will probably be made after the sequel and after hopefully the series has picked up more steam. Maybe 6 months...maybe...

Thanks,
Chad

Chad,

I appreciate the reply! I hope things go very well for you guys and I'll keep my fingers crossed. Who knows, maybe my next phone will be android, although I would much prefer to play it on a tablet. Best of luck to you.

Thanks! I have a friend that has suggested he might be interested in porting the game to iOS so anything is possible. I'll be sure to let you know.

@littlekillerz:
For the translations, check the open developers' forum here on TA. There are several threads dealing with translator agencies and freelancers. One mentioned an excellent translation team that works more like a studio, and is specialised in localisation for mobile games.

Found it in my resources links; here you go, it's the currently last post on page 1:

Silver Josh mentions DYS Translations, and also links to an earlier thread:
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=1244

If I remember right, you can find specialised translators for Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and s bunch of languages there.

Page 3, first posts lists 8cents per word as DYS' price; which I consider ridiculously cheap, when I compare it to the prices I know for technical translations - e.g. machinery safety handbooks, medical terminology, software manuals - where you see prices in 6 figure totals and up.

Last, I am sure you can always ask people on here to judge the quality of an example translations.
