Broken Kings has just submitted our third game of 2011, Dirt, to the app store, and we are super proud of it (thus why it's the first one to get its own topic here ). It's an exploration game where you dig in an infinite, persistent world - yeah, it's that cool. Check out these screenshots! There's a bit of a hidden aspect of the game too that we're hoping people will latch on to . But we don't want to spoil anything.
Truthfully, I'm not huge on the racing games so didn't know that Dirt was also one of those. Well, in this one, Dirt is a skeleton cat, and that may not be a racing game, but I think that's pretty fresh. The app name is dumb? It's possible, we kind of like it but of course it's harder to separate yourself from something you created and look at it objectively. If it turns out that the name is a big turn-off for many - well - we'll have learned
This game is still waiting for approval by Apple, but we're hoping for something early this week (no promises though). In the meantime, we liked the game so much we printed a shirt for each of us featuring the main character. Here's a picture of (from left to right) Tevin (myself), Josiah, and Lopi wearing the shirt: And here is a picture of Lopi showing the shirt off:
Dirt trailer! Approved by Apple but not in the app store yet ... check out the iPhone Games section, when this is live we'll be posting it there

This game is a true vision, firstly because the developers left the option of additional narration open, and secondly because the game is polished enough to be an amusing gem-collecting-time-killer. It's when you combine the seemingly pointless gem collecting, odd object placement and endless exploration with little text to explain what is happening, you enter a world that delivers much more than a Mario-clone platformer, or major game remake for your handheld. I applaud the developers and will patiently wait for any updates or sequelss." -MeMyselfOrWho"HOLY MOTHER OF GEEZUS!!! cryptic -_-" -Zithorio"Another great Indie game that oozes a lot of character that some of the bigger games lack. I almost didn't bother looking in this thread since I'm not a fan of racing games at all. Game looks interesting. I might download it but I'm waiting for a few reviews first.
