I like the game, but the 483 MB space is a bit of a killer, especially since Temple Run 2 is about a quarter of the space. Perhaps the devs can explain that one.

Also, as a video producer by profession, I'd love to see more in the genre. Bazooka Time had a great idea with keeping the actor in frame. There also seems to be a missed opportunity with "budget". Collecting the coins could be a part of that, but are more of a basic need. In the film world, running out of money on a shoot is worse than running out of battery power.

I have enjoyed playing the game and feel I've gotten my dollar's worth out of it, but I can't help but feel that there was a lot more missed than hit with the idea behind the game. The genre and idea of the game seems to have received a small portion of the attention it could have.

Here's hoping for some updates... and an answer to why the file size is so big. Without the changes, I'm afraid I'll be looking to free up space on my phone.

I totally agree! As a producer/editor myself, I've also enjoyed Pixely People Making Movies. But I agree that our profession needs more iOS games. Let me know if you've found any other good ones.

And if there's some way they can take music or something more out of this one to get the size down to 100mb, I'll jump back into it for sure. It's way more relevant to me than Jetpack Joyride!

Default Game Impressions

I was not a fan of this game. It took way too long to load when I fired it up, for one. But also, the gameplay is just... ugh. Maybe I'm growing out of the endless runner genre, but Jetpack Joyride is 100 times more satisfying and fun than this game.

I don't like the music at all. It echoes the music from the old mobile gaming era of the eldest of Gameloft titles. Annoying, repetitive, repetitive, and annoying.

The gameplay... I'm not sure what's so different about this one compared to Jetpack Joyride, but this is just not all that fun. I love the movie aesthetic, and I think it's a great idea with a lot of potential, but the execution is anything but fun. The obstacles you throw at the player seem to be lazily patterned, the coin patterns seem lazy too. Also, there have been a couple times where I hit an obstacle but had no idea it was an obstacle in the first place. I think a palm tree was what I hit when I was like "Really? "

Truthfully that's the air this game gives off: Lazy. Aside from the setting, there is nothing special about this game. I suppose the setting should be able to set it apart from the pack, but when everything else about the game seems to lack ingenuity or heart, it doesn't lend itself much credibility.

It just feels like the studio played Jetpack Joyride for a long time, thought up this brilliant plan to make it a movie set instead of a laboratory, and slapped this game together at the last minute. The animations seem stiff, the movement isn't as smooth, and everything about this game just feels like a ripoff honestly.

I feel like all I'm doing is adding negativity upon negativity, and I'm sorry for that, but it's how I feel. The shop is a good idea, as I do enjoy upgrade shops in games. But I feel like the amount of coins you receive in-game doesn't aid enough for what you can buy in the shop. That probably didn't make sense. What I mean is, it feels like the amount of coins you can obtain in the game is quite slim, and this feels like a way to direct the player to purchase coin packs via IAP. Not as terrible as many games, but I do feel like the coin output could be modified a little, even without the need for the coin cloner IAP.

A gameplay mechanic I thought was kind of neat at first, but ultimately I don't enjoy anymore, is the actor. I don't like how the powers you equip are based on the actor. When I get a coin magnet, I don't want to have to wait for the actor to randomly shoot it out of their back for me to be able to use it. And when you have two powers, the actor will only activate one at a time, so it's not a guarantee you will even see both powers in the same run.

I am admittedly a huge fan of Jetpack Joyride. It's the only endless runner I have a lot of experience with, and know inside and out, and that's why I've been comparing this to that game constantly. But this isn't clouding my judgment on this game here, I swear. Legitimately, this game has potential with the idea, but the execution just feels cheap. And I've brought this up before in a couple threads, but this game is also missing a key factor: Passion. I don't feel the passion with this game, at all.

Unfortunately, I deleted Crash Cam this morning, and I have no interest in ever playing it again. Regardless, good try on the game, but it's definitely not for me.

With the latest update (available now) it will now run on 4th generation iPod touch, (even runs on a 3rd generation iPod Touch!). However, I still list the requirements for iPod touch as 5th generation+ since the frame rate on the 4th gen touch isn't solid. I'll keep working on improving it though!

Thanks everyone for playing it! I'm totally open to suggestions for improving the game and adding features to it. Let me hear your impressions, good or bad! But let me hear your suggestions too, since just saying "I don't like X" doesn't help me improve the game. Tell me what you think could be changed to fix what you don't like.
